July at Homer’s

Greetings!

Just a quick note to remind you all that our Homer’s gig is on the second Saturday of July, July 12, instead of the first. You can confirm our performance dates and times by referencing our calendar under the Upcoming Events tab.

Our July gig will feature compositions by Pat Metheny/Lyle Mays, Mark Taylor, Dave Barduhn, Tom Kubis, Thad Jones, Bill Holman, Gene Roland and Dave Slonaker.

I stumbled onto Dave’s music on a YouTube search not too long ago. Dave has posted on YouTube a number of live studio recordings of his original compositions from his Intrada Album that feature the who’s who of LA Studio Musicians. It is a great listen/watch, so I would recommend visiting YouTube at your leisure, searching Dave Slonaker Big Band, and taking a listen/look for yourselves. I know you’ll enjoy it!
